Up for sale, a 2022 R2R Electric Ge Distorter in near-mint condition. This highly sought after fuzz box combines elements of two of the most iconic fuzz circuits of the 1960s, the germanium Fuzz Face and germanium Schaller Fuzz, into one compact unit that captures the essence of both while maintaining its own distinct tonal character.
An abundance of genuine vintage components were used in this build, including vintage CTS pots and a pair of 1968 Siemens AC151 germanium transistors. Super gated and velcro-y at one end of the spectrum, the pedal opens up with big fat sustain and bark, cleaning up well the guitar's volume control.
The interior of the baseplate includes a comprehensive handwritten list of components, and is signed, numbered, and dated to 10-05-2022.
