Up for sale, a 2022 Cunningham Amplifier MK1.6 Fuzz in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. Handmade in New Zealand, this premium boutique fuzz features a select pair of NOS RCA Germanium transistors, delivering vintage-flavored fuzz with a surprisingly wide array of tonalities on tap via the Gain Mode switch. This pedal is rich and saturated, delivering all the wooly power and buzzsaw blat you could want (particularly in High Gain mode), and cleans up a surprising amount in the Low Gain mode for a boost/touch-of-dirt distortion tone. The modes also have slightly different tonal profiles: Low Gain/boost is a little brighter, while Medium and High are fat and juicy, progressively filling out as they add more gain and fuzz.
Cunningham began with the fabled MK 1.5 Tone Bender and Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face circuits, adding a dash of modern reliability and functionality with premium components throughout. The circuit is built on a precision etched board, and each Cunningham pedal is crafted one at a time, carefully and individually voiced to optimize the transistors, meaning that no two pedals are exactly the same.
This is a clean stompbox, with just a couple tiny marks on the enclosure. The inside of the baseplate is signed and dated by the builder.
