Up for sale, a 2016 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1958 Jazzmaster Closet Classic in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, compete with CoA and G&G case. Designed to pay homage to the introductory year of the Jazzmaster, this Limited Edition Custom Shop offering boasts a bevy of premium features including hand-wound pickups, an RSD bridge, a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, and a gloss Desert Sand nitro lacquer finish with Fender’s “Closet Classic” Relic treatment.
At only 7lbs 12oz, tonewoods include a lightweight ash body, quartersawn maple neck, and a slab rosewood fingerboard with a modern 9 1/2“ radius. The pair of Custom Shop Hand-Wound black bobbin pickups deliver a range of powerful and defined Jazzmaster tones, with plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap. The bridge has a gutsy punch, the neck is smooth and broad, and engaging the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn yields warmer, wooly sounds. These particular pickups were wound by Brecinda Pineda, as indicated by the handwritten “BP” on the bobbins.
