Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Telecaster ‘52 vintage reissue model TL52-TX in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with hangtags. A discontinued, upper-tiered model built for the Japanese domestic market, the TL52-TX offers stiff competition for Fender's American Vintage series instruments. Very faithful to vintage spec, features include a pair of factory-installed Fender USA-made Texas Special pickups, brass bridge saddles, and flathead screws used throughout.
Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this TL52-TX weighs 9lbs 2oz. Fat and throaty in the neck position, chiming and cutting in the middle, and offering a chewy, snappy sparkle and twang in the bridge position, this guitar covers traditional Tele ground, and the slightly overwound Texas Specials offer a bit more midrange fullness and kick. This TL52-TX has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .840” 1st fret, .920” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Maple, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” U-prefix
Body Specs:
-Wood: Ash
-Pickups: Fender Texas Special single coil x2 (USA-made)
-Controls: Volume, Tone, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: “Pat. Pend” bridge with brass barrel saddles, dome-top knurled knobs, all flathead screws
-Plastics: “Blackguard”-style five-screw one-ply pickguard (factory protective film and advert intact), '50s-spec switch tip
The gloss Vintage Natural (Butterscotch) finish highlights the uniform grain of the ash body and subtle bearclaw figuring on top at the bass-side horn. There are just a few tiny marks on the body, and the ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
A Fender-branded gigbag is included.
