2011 Fender Competition Mustang '73 Vintage Reissue MG73-CO Olympic White, Japan MIJ
Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Competition Mustang ‘73 vintage reissue model MG73-CO in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made exclusively for the Japanese market, this Mustang is rarely seen outside its country of origin, featuring a gloss Olympic White finish and matching headstock, accented by a dark blue racing stripe. Often considered to rival Fender's US production in terms of overall quality, this Mustang is a testament to the workmanship and eye for detail evident in the Made in Japan Fender models.
Weighing 6lbs 12oz, this Mustang has a crisp, jangly voice when strummed acoustically that translates well through the pickups. The single coil pickups have a clear, cutting tone, and the on/off/on pickup selector switches can also engage the distinctive Mustang out-of-phase sound when in the innermost and outermost positions. This MG73-CO Mustang has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
