Up for sale, a 2008 Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul Standard Slash Signature Goldtop in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and owner’s manual. Only 1000 of these instruments were produced, designed as a faithful recreation of Slash’s iconic 1989 Goldtop “Victoria,” so named after the woman who stole the guitar in 1999. Not to be confused with later “Victoria” reissues, this original Signature edition is significantly rarer than following iterations, loaded with a pair of Seymour Duncan APH-1 Alnico II Pro humbuckers and sporting Slash’s “Skully” graphic on the peghead.
Traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard, and this Slash Signature Goldtop weighs 9lbs 10oz. The Seymour Duncan APH-1 Alnico II Pro humbuckers deliver the monster tones of Appetite for Destruction, articulate and smooth with warm, spongy lows, terrific sensitivity to picking dynamics, and a tailored midrange clarity ideal for high gain scenarios. This Limited Edition Slash Signature Goldtop has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
