Up for sale, a 2005 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Jaguar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in custom color Ocean Turquoise. A discontinued model, this Jaguar matches vintage spec, capturing the feel and tonal properties of a Pre-CBS example.
Plugged in, this Jaguar delivers the goods via the pair of black bobbin single coil pickups with beveled flat-pole alnico magnets. The American Vintage '62 pickups are a bit rounder and fuller in the midrange than later Fender Jaguar pickup winds. Quite versatile, these pickups offer everything from aggressive treble sparkle to round, bell-like tones. Engage the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn for darker, meatier tones, or flip the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for thinner tic-tac sounds.
