Up for sale, a 1998 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster, complete with the original tweed hardshell case and hangtags. This discontinued USA-made Stratocaster model features an alder body, maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard, delivering a bold, detailed natural acoustic quality that translates well through the 57/62 black bobbin pickup set.

Fitted with the optional five-way pickup selector included with this model from the factory, this Strat can chime, sparkle, and quack with the best, delivering an array of classic Fender tones. Whether it's the biting twang of the bridge position, the extra warmth and girth that comes from the neck single coil, or the thinned-out quack on the "in between" positions, this Strat really does do it all. The gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer finish has a fairly faint central red band (save for under the pickguard), almost presenting as a two-tone. There is concentrated buckle rash at the belly contour, with some finish chips, dings and scuffs consistent with use. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.

The original tweed hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags.
