Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Jazz Bass Special PJM65 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production as part of the Pro Feel Series, this Jazz Bass Special is uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring a 32” medium scale length, gold hardware, and an upgraded Seymour Duncan PJ pickup pair.
This PJM65 is featherweight at just 6lbs 10oz, with a slightly scaled-down, contoured body crafted from a lightweight composite described as “Indonesian Camp” in the 1989 Fender Japan catalog. The pair of Seymour Duncan pickups are a versatile combo, pairing the ample thump and heft of a split coil Precision neck pickup and the midrange cut and articulation of a Jazz pickup at the bridge. This PJM65 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.
