Up for sale, a 1989 B.C. Rich Mockingbird Bass model MB-857 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced as part of the NJ (Nagoya, Japan) Series, this B.C. Rich features a PJ pickup pair, “super wood” laminate neck, and an "ebonic" synthetic ebony fingerboard.
Lightweight at 8lbs 5oz, this Mockingbird dishes out plenty of natural treble cut and punch, qualities faithfully captured by the PJ pickup configuration. The split-coil Precision-style neck pickup has ample thump and power, and the Jazz-style bridge position single coil has midrange cut and grind. This MB-857 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.
