Up for sale, a 1987 Greco EGC68-70 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This top tier, non-catalog Greco model was crafted at the Fujigen factory as part of the Mint Collection, featuring a gloss Cherry finish accented by gold hardware, outfitted with a pair of “Screamin’” PAF humbuckers. Tonewoods include a mahogany body, solid maple top with a bookmatched flame maple veneer, and a mahogany neck with a long tenon joint capped with a dark rosewood fretboard.
Lightweight at only 9lbs, this Greco is a lively and powerful-sounding instrument, yielding a wide array of quintessential LP-style tones via the original pickup pair. The bridge pickup has a complex and detailed sound, with a touch of sizzle and a round bass response, and the neck position humbucker delivers more girth and fullness while still offering plenty of clarity. This Greco benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany, long tenon
-Shape: Chunky ‘50s-style C, measuring .885” 1st fret, .999” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, block inlay
-Frets: Medium jumbo, light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-6
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone
-Tuners: Gotoh, gold keystone buttons
-Serialization: H87-prefix (August, 1987 production)
Body Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany, solid maple top (flame veneer)

-Harness: Untouched solder, Japanese pots date to February, 1987

The gloss Cherry finish is framed by multi-ply binding, highlighting tight figuring in the two-piece flame maple veneer, particularly dimensional at the lower bout. Cosmetic wear includes light buckle rash central to the back and a number of minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole, primarily concentrated at the lower bout. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with some shallow marks on its length.
The original black tolex hardshell case is included.
