Up for sale, a 1987 Fender Telecaster ‘72 vintage reissue model TL72-55 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early “Made in Japan” Tele was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, uncommon outside of its country of origin.

Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this guitar has a bold natural acoustic quality with great treble snap and midrange oomph; qualities faithfully captured by the pickup pair. The Alnico magnet pickups deliver focused, gutsy twang in the bridge position and a smooth percussive cut at the neck. Weighing 8lbs 5oz, this TL72-55 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Natural finish highlights the tight, straight grain of the ash body, with a large “tan line” on top from a removed sticker.
