Up for sale, a 1980 Greco Super Sound model JB600 in perfect working order, 100% original save for a replacement brass nut. Precursor to the Fender Japan JV instruments, the Super Sound models were made in Japan at the famed Fujigen factory prior to Fujigen Gakki signing their deal with Fender. This JB600 is designed to capture the look and feel of a 1975 Jazz Bass, featuring a bound rosewood fretboard with pearloid block inlays and a gloss Black lacquer finish.
Tonewoods include an ash body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, and this JB600 weighs 8lbs 11oz. The pair of PU-J6 single coil pickups deliver quintessential Jazz Bass tonalities, with plenty of midrange-forward burp and grind on tap, and thicker, broad tonalities with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. This JB600 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings and accurate intonation.
