Up for sale, a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded “chainsaw” case. This Les Paul Custom features a vibrant Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer gloss finish and a pair of T Top humbuckers.
With a mahogany body, three-piece maple top, maple neck, and bound ebony fingerboard, this Les Paul Custom offers tons of natural sustain and a rich, growling acoustic response. Gibson's T Top humbuckers offer a distinct, vital sound at each position on the three-way pickup selector switch, with plenty of note attack, bite and midrange aggression at the bridge, while the neck position tones are smooth and warm while retaining great articulation. This Les Paul Custom weighs 10lbs 4oz, benefitting from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer finish is bright and vibrant, and cosmetic wear includes faint buckle rash central to the back and along the perimeter at the waist, several small dings along the lower bout perimeter, requisite pick scuffing on top along the strum path, and some additional pinhead-sized nicks. The gloss is extremely clean and smooth on the neck profile, with some light palm wear through the finish along the shoulders.
