Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Precision Bass in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A rare example with an "A" nut width (1 1/2"), this Precision Bass boasts the same slender and easily navigable nut width of a Jazz Bass.

Tonewoods include an alder body and maple neck, and acoustically the bass has a very balanced, smooth response with enhanced note attack and treble detail via the maple fingerboard. Via the gray bobbin split-coil pickup, this Precision Bass dishes out plenty of warmth, rich bass register thump and treble growl. Extremely well-balanced on a strap and quite lightweight at 8lbs 5oz, this Precision benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish is rich and warm, showing a sliver of forearm wear on the lower bout edge on top, faint buckle scuffing central to the back, a bit of pick wear extending beyond the bass-side edge of the pickguard and some minor dings and scuffs from careful use. An extra strap button was installed in an unusual spot on the outside edge of the treble-side cutaway, cleanly doweled and touched-up (pictured). The neck retains its smooth, clean gloss on the profile, with only a few pinhead-sized marks on the profile length.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included. The case is extremely clean with functional latches, the original handle, and raised Fender logo on the lid.
