Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Jazzmaster in excellent condition, finished in custom color Firemist Gold and complete with the original hardshell case. Stunningly rare and stunningly clean, this Jazzmaster features untouched electronics and one of Fender’s most elusive custom colors of the ‘60s, Firemist Gold. While the body finish is 100% original, the matching peghead and neck profile have been reshot in nitro lacquer by Joe Riggio. An early example with pearloid blocks on the bound rosewood fingerboard, this Jazzmaster has also been fitted with a rare set of Fender-branded Grover Rotomatic “milk bottle” tuners.

Weighing 8lbs 5oz with an alder body, this Jazzmaster has a clear, vital natural acoustic quality. The gray bobbin single coils retain their factory windings, metering at 7.4k ohms in the bridge position and 7.1k at the neck. Wound towards the lower end of the Jazzmaster spectrum, these pickups are exceedingly articulate and sweet while yielding great warmth and fullness: the bridge is peppy and immediate, with classic Fender sparkle, and the neck offers notable breadth and woody chop. The Rhythm Circuit on the lower body horn has a sound that's round and sweet, working as a great thickening agent. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, this Jazzmaster has been dialed in with 11-49 roundwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
