Up for sale, a 1965 Silvertone 1481 vintage Class A tube amp in excellent condition. Freshly serviced, this amp features a simple single channel design with a 6V6 power tube and 8” speaker. Roughly equivalent to a Fender Champ, the 1481 offers sweet, sparkling cleans and overdriven grit.
The point-to-point circuit retains the original transformer pair, and the power supply has been professionally recapped. The CTS pots have visible date codes from the 31st week of ‘65, and the original two-prong power cable is present. The 8” ceramic magnet speaker is a later addition and a good pairing with the circuit.
The cabinet retains its gray textured exterior, gold sparkle grillcoth and small Silvertone badge.
