Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Twin Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and a modern Fender-branded slip cover. A very original and professionally serviced example, this Twin's condition is all the more uncommon given its size. While Fender's smaller combos of the era can occasionally be found in pristine shape, it's significantly rarer to find Fender's gig-worthy large combos (which generally saw much rougher usage) as well-kept as this example.

This Twin delivers warm, articulate cleans with ample bass response, a wide-ranging and responsive EQ, and present, sparkling Fender top end. When it comes to the quintessential Black Panel Fender amp for clarity, headroom, and the balanced, authoritative response of a four 6L6 driven tube amp, it's hard to beat the Twin. The tube-driven Reverb effect has incredible depth and splash, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with a wide range of speeds. It's as iconic a design as Leo Fender ever created, also very well-suited to amplifying pedal steel or electric piano in the vein of a Wurlitzer or Fender Rhodes.

The circuit is extremely clean and straight, minimally serviced to ensure optimal functionality and retaining all but one the original blue molded Ajax capacitors, a key part of the sweet, musical character of the Black Panel-era preamps. All of the original Schumacher-made transformers are intact, with date codes from early 1965. The original CTS pots have visible date codes from the 8th week of '65. The amp benefits from a few new low noise metal film resistors in key locations, as well as modern electrolytic caps in the preamp. The power supply has been professionally recapped with MOD capacitors, and a three-prong power cable has been installed. The power tubes are a quad of properly biased Electro-Harmonix 6L6s, and the preamp has a combination of modern and vintage valves from the likes of RCA and GE.

The speakers are a vintage pair of Oxford 12T6s with clean black frames. These Oxfords have both been professionally reconed, with blue Fender foil labels on the magnets, and date stamps/stickers from 1967. The tube chart is clean and fully intact, with an "OI" date stamp that translates to September of 1965.

The original black tolex is exceptionally clean, with little wear on the edges of the enclosure, and the silver sparkle grillcloth is particularly bright and unaged. The faceplate is notably well-kept, retaining a full complement of original witch hat knobs. All of the original hardware is present, including the chrome tilt back legs, nickel corners, sphinx glides, handle, and raised Fender logo on the amp's face.

The original two-button footswitch is included, along with a modern Fender-branded slip cover.
