Up for sale, a Universal Audio Starlight Echo Station in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Built around UAFX’s proprietary dual-engine processing; this exceedingly versatile delay unit delivers a massive array of sounds, with three hyper-accurate emulations of classic tape echos, bucket brigade chips, and digital delay units in one compact enclosure. The Tape EP-III setting is designed to recreate the iconic sounds of early ‘70s tape echo units, with ample wow/flutter randomness and eccentricity on tap. Additionally, the color of the repeats can be significantly altered by toggling between New, Used, and Worn tape emulation. The Analog DMM setting captures the thick, syrupy, mind-bending sounds of the best late/70s/early ’80s bucket brigade delays; right down to the colorful preamp and unpredictable clock rate dumping. Finally, the Precision setting produces modern-style pristine, mirror-image repeats with dynamic, shimmering modulation. Controls include Delay, Feedback, Mix, Division, Color, and Mod knobs. Color and Mod are variable controls, depending on the selected emulation setting. Division enables selection of the quarter note tempo ratio, resulting in unique syncopated repeats and echoes. There is also an A/B/C mini-toggle which changes the overall color of the modes: Clean/Used/Worn for Tape, Vibrato/Off/Chorus for bucket brigade, and Flanger/Off/Chorus for modern. Finally, there is a Store switch to save the current sound as a preset. The Starlight Echo Station has dual inputs/outputs for stereo functionality, as well as USB-C out. This unit is in fantastic shape, with cosmetic wear limited to just a scant few tiny nicks on the enclosure.
