Up for sale, a Tone King Royalist 15 1x12 boutique tube amp in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The discontinued Mk I iteration of the Royalist platform (itself a rebranding of the amp's original name, the Majesty), the Royalist was Tone King's first foray into a British-voiced circuit, designed to offer a range of tones from JTM45 to Plexi.
With a tube-buffered effects loop and Tone King's Iron Man attenuator, this single channel design is deceptively versatile, engineered to pack rich British gain structures into a lightweight (38lbs) form factor and 1x12 enclosure.
A non-Master single channel design, the Royalist features controls for Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass and Presence, voiced though a USA-made Eminence model 1462 ceramic magnet speaker branded for Tone King. The tube complement includes a matched pair of TAD EL84 power tubes, with Tung Sol and Mesa-branded valves in the preamp.
Cosmetic touches include smooth black tolex, white piping, salt and pepper grillcloth, and an offset JTM45-style faceplate with barrel knobs. Save for one reglued tolex tear on the lower edge of the left-hand side of the enclosure, the amp shows sparingly little wear.
