Up for sale, a Swart 2x12” Stereo speaker cabinet in perfect working order. Originally designed to be used with Swart’s ST-Stereo amp head, the 2x12” Stereo can be used with two individual amps or one amp with dual outputs. The speakers are positioned at 45 degree angles to ensure clarity between two distinct signals, while also offering a wide stereo field. The cabinet is loaded with an Austin Speaker Works KTS-70 ceramic magnet driver and a Tone Tubby Alnico Red. The KTS-70 was designed in the vein of a late ‘60s Celestion G12H 30, rated at 80 watts, with shimmering highs, singing midrange, and warm, rich lows. The Tone Tubby Alnico Red is a superb all around driver with ample clean headroom, sporting a hemp cone design and rated at 50 watts.The Alnico Red offers rock-solid bottom end, silky rolled-off highs, and complex midrange characteristics. The rugged cabinet features finger-jointed pine construction with an open back design and wraparound grillcloth to accommodate the individual angled baffles for the pair of 12" speakers, Cosmetic wear includes a number of minor scuffs and marks on the black tweed, while the grillcloth is pristine.
