Up for sale, a Strymon El Capistan dTape Echo V1 pedal in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and power supply. This Strymon delay faithfully captures the warm, saturated, and irregular qualities of genuine vintage tape echo machines, utilizing a “ridiculously powerful” SHARC DSP to power their proprietary dTape algorithms and offering a broad array of tape machine sounds (including some unattainable with a physical machine) without the headaches of tape machine maintenance and repair. The El Capistan contains three different tape machine types in one; Fixed Head, Multi Head, and Single Head, each with three unique and distinct modes, allowing it to go from the sound of a hi-fi, studio-quality tape machine to the heavily fluctuating sounds of a machine in need of service. There are 10 controllable parameters, with five knobs: Time, Mix, Tape Age, Repeats, and Wow & Flutter, plus five “hidden” knobs that dictate Tape Crinkle, Tape Bias, Low End Contour, Spring Reverb and +/- 3dB Boost/Cut. This pedal also has a Sound on Sound mode for simple looper functionality, with instant tape splice and bulk erase. There is a Tap Tempo footswitch for further ease of use and flexibility, which also has a press-and-hold infinite repeat function. The original box and power supply are included.
