Up for sale, an Soldano Supercharger G.T.O. V1 preamp/overdrive pedal in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This all-tube overdrive incorporates the same circuitry used in Soldano’s 100w Super Lead Overdrive (famously ‘SLO’), transforming the legendary overdrive preamp section into pedal form.
This ruggedly-built device is very flexible and can be used both as a rich, tube-driven preamp and an overdrive pedal. Setting the Gain low and the Output high cleeanly overdrives the input of an amp, and setting the Gain high and the Output low produces massive sustain at low volumes. The low end is voiced/tailored to not overwhelm the properties of the tube amp its pushing, and the midrange has a rich, purring bark.
The Supercharger G.T.O. plugs directly into a wall outlet and runs its two 12AX7 tubes at full amp voltages. Additionally, it uses relay switching, providing an actual 'hardwire bypass' so that it doesn't color the signal when switched off.
