Up for sale, a Schertler Unico Classic acoustic amplifier in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with a softshell carry case. This compact, portable three-channel acoustic amplifier is essentially a PA in disguise; designed to deliver a clean, accurate sound with exceptional tonal sculpting control and overall versatility, perfect for stage and studio usage alike. Featuring 200W output, in combination with a biamplified system, Schertler “guarantee total transparency, harmonically rich sound and full low frequency control (down to 40 Hz).” Sound is delivered by an eight-inch woofer and a one-inch-dome tweeter. The amp is split in two, with 150W feeding the woofer and 35W powering the tweeter. Quoted frequency response is 40Hz to 22kHz, and the operating voltage can be switched between 110V and 230V. Weighing just over 15kg (33lbs), it’s exceptionally portable, and also features a natural, lush-sounding onboard spring reverb. The three channels include Mic In, Dyn In, and Stat In. Each channel has independent controls including Gain, a three-band EQ, unique tonal sculpting controls specific to each channel, Reverb, and Volume knobs. The Dyn Input has a dual-function XLR/1/4” jack. There is also a Master section, with DI and Line outs, as well as an Insert and an Auxiliary Output for use with an effects loop. Between the three channels and the Master section, the Unico Classic is notably flexible and a total package for amplifying acoustic instruments and vocals. The unit sports a handsome wood enclosure, and the control panel is recessed into the top to prevent accidental adjustments. This Unico is in fantastic shape, with just a scant few tiny marks on the enclosure as a whole. The knobs are all present, the graphics are pristine, the speaker grill and badge are flawless, and the handle is made of premium leather. The original Schertler-branded softshell carrying case is included, with a shoulder strap and an opening for the amp’s leather handle for further ease of transportation.
