Up for sale, a brand new Riggio Custom Guitars Tango Thinline, complete with a G&G Deluxe blonde hardshell case. In a class all his own, Joe Riggio creates some of the most compelling, soulful, and truly inspiring guitars made in this decade or any other. Riggio's Tango Thinline is a fastidiously hand-crafted instrument from his one-man shop, with production limited to only a few dozen instruments a year.

With hand-selected lightweight tonewoods, proprietary neck carves (mapped on a CNC from actual vintage examples), and vintage-accurate hardware and plastics, this Tango Thinline features a Black Paisley finish over a semi-hollow alder body, outfitted with a customized B5F Bigsby and Mastery M1 bridge.

Riggio's hand-wound set of Route 66 single coil pickups offers traditional Tele cut, with a gutsy, chewy twang in the bridge position and silky, round neck pickup sound, all with the airy breadth of the semi-hollow body and the glassy articulation of the one-piece maple neck. This Tango Thinline is featherweight at 7lbs 1oz, dialed in with low action, accurate intonation, and 10-46 strings.

The one-piece maple neck has a “63 C” neck profile carve, medium depth at the nut with full shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .845" deep at the 1st fret and .975" at the 12th. A hallmark of Riggio’s instruments is the “Real Deal Feel” on the neck. This involves a smooth gradient between high gloss nitro and almost bare maple on the profile, simulating to an exacting degree the way in which contact with the palm naturally ages a finish over decades. This combined with a rolled fretboard edge and extra attention to the end dress on the frets results in a particularly inviting and effortless playing experience. The maple fretboard has 6105 fretwire, and this Tango boasts a modern 9.5" fretboard radius, 25 1/2" scale length, and 1.650" nut width. The nut is hand-carved from bone for optimal note articulation and sustain. The headstock features Riggio's script logo waterslide decal and Kluson-style tuning machines.

Electronics include Riggio's Route '66 single coil pickups, CTS 250K audio taper pots, and a premium tone cap. The pickups meter at 5.6k ohms in the neck position and 7k at the bridge. Hardware comprises a Mastery M1 bridge and Bigsby B5F vibrato tailpiece, customized with an inlaid Riggio "R." The Bigsby has more range than most, with an extremely smooth and immediate response. The Black Paisley material shows prominent horizontal checking beneath the clear coat, consistent with how the foil material ages on '60s Fender paisley finishes. The Black Paisley is framed by a Charcoal Frost Metallic burst on the body edges, and the guitar has Riggio's light relic treatment.

A Riggio-branded G&G Deluxe blonde tolex hardshell case with red crushed velvet interior is included.
