2011 ESP Arrow Flying V Electric Guitar Andromeda w/ Seymour Duncan Blackouts, Japan

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2011 ESP Arrow electric guitar, 100% original and featuring a rare, discontinued Andromeda finish. This distinctive V-shaped Arrow model is loaded with the original pair of Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackouts humbuckers, offering as Duncan puts it "massive crunch and quiet performance required for a full metal onslaught." The Arrow features neck through maple body construction with heel-less construction, alder body wings and a bound slab ebony fingerboard, ensuring a balanced and immediate tonal platform for the Blackouts humbuckers. These active humbuckers deliver ample power and full-bodied punch with the high-output signal level of an active pickup and a more organic feel and open tonal response. The treble and bass response is extended beyond the range of traditional active pickups, carefully balanced with a slightly scooped midrange for a perfectly tailored crunch. The Blackouts excel at screaming pinched harmonics, articulate enough for hyper-speed riffage, with responsive dynamics across the entire fretboard. This ESP Arrow weighs 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The three-piece maple neck has a slender and fast-feeling Thin U profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders, measuring .785" deep at the 1st fret and .880" at the 12th. The bound ebony fretboard features reverse sharkfin pearl inlays and original jumbo fretwire which retains its full factory height, showing just a hint of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-4. The guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The locking nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock retains the original black chrome tuning machines.

The simple electronics function as intended, with the active Seymour Duncan humbuckers governed by a Master Volume knob and three-way pickup selector toggle. The guitar is fitted with the original genuine Floyd Rose vibrato unit, ideal for depe divebombs and sharp bends with flawless tuning stability. The guitar boasts ESP's original Andromeda finish, a gloss Black on the top, back and neck, with an iridescent finish on the beveled body edges, appearing in shades of purples, greens, and blues depending on the lighting angle. There is missing finish and a shallow chip in the wood on the treble side body tip, and cosmetic wear is otherwise limited to light finish scuffing on the treble side of the strum path and just a few tiny finish scratches and nicks on the body as a whole. The neck profile gloss is flawless save for one tiny nick on the bass-side shoulder behind fret 2.

An ESP padded gigbag is included.
