Up for sale, a 2004 Ibanez Prestige model RG2550E in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A discontinued model, this is a rare upscale Japanese-made Ibanez Prestige with a gloss sparkle Galaxy Black finish, trio of special design Dimarzio IBZ pickups, and an Edge Pro tremolo system. A triple pickup HSH affair, the humbucker sounds are pure high gain bliss, designed to keep things cutting, focused, and clear with excellent feedback rejection. The guitar weighs 8lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with slinky action and spot-on intonation.

The maple and walnut five-piece neck has Ibanez's AANJ Wizard Prestige profile carve, a shred-worthy very slender C shape retaining round shoulders largely by virtue of the particularly thick slab rosewood fretboard, measuring .695” deep at the 1st fret and .730” at the 12th. The dark rosewood fretboard features dot inlay and stock jumbo fretwire. The frets have their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing just a touch of wear on the crowns beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3. The guitar plays effortlessly up the arrow straight neck which has a 24 fret range and a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The guitar boasts a full 25 1/2" scale length and 1 11/16" nut width. The headstock has original black Gotoh tuners and a locking nut that ensures optimal tuning stability even with heavy vibrato use.

The body has a simple and sleek control layout, with a five-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The Edge Pro tremolo was designed by Ibanez to provide the fast vibrato response and snap needed to pull off sharp bends and flutters. The saddles feature integrated string locks which can be used without removing the ball end of the string. These sliding string locks eliminated the possibility of the string retention blocks falling out during string changes, a notable improvement over previous Edge designs. The Cosmo Black hardware is in great shape, and the original brown mirrored pickguard has a purple tint, matching the fretboard inlay. Cosmetic wear is limited to light pick scuffing across the guard, a few tiny finish chips on the body parameter, and sparingly little additional wear. The neck profile boasts a smooth satin finish.
