Up for sale, a 2015 Fender Classic 60s Jazz Bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. With a custom color Gun Metal Blue subtle metalflake finish, this "Made in Japan" Jazz Bass was a short run, rarely seen outside its country of origin. The bass features a basswood body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a balanced, smooth tonal platform for the pair of traditional single coil Jazz Bass pickups. The pickups deliver an articulate top end and sweet, pronounced midrange cut, as well as plenty of low end thump. Whether you want the more present bark and burp of the Jazz Bass' bridge pickup or the smoother, wider sounds of the neck pickup, this Jazz Bass covers a wide sonic spectrum. The bass weighs 8lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, comfortable action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .840" at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th. On the thick slab rosewood fretboard, the slender fretwire shows sparingly little wear with well-rounded crowns. The bass plays easily in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius and 34" scale length, and the bone nut measures 1 1/2" in width. The headstock features chrome tuning machines which show light patina on the clover buttons, turning smoothly and holding pitch well.

All of the electronics work as intended, and the original hardware has particularly clean plating on the control plate and bridge base, with a touch of patina on the saddles. This bass is both understated and unique in its cosmetic appearance, with a three-ply black pickguard accenting the dark Gun Metal Blue metalflake finish. Cosmetic wear is limited to light pick scuffing across the guard and just a few very faint finish scratches and scuffs on the body as a whole. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
