2012 Fender G-5 VG Stratocaster Powered By Roland Electric Guitar Sunburst

Up for sale, a 2012 Fender G-5 VG Stratocaster, powered by Roland, in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag. With an alder body, one-piece maple neck, and 22 fret slab rosewood fretboard, this Strat offers a traditional tonewood compliment for a balanced and clear acoustic tone. In addition to the Roland technology at the heart of this model, the guitar has all the functionality and tonal breadth of a traditional Stratocaster, loaded with original ceramic magnet single coil pickups that have plenty of punch and sparkling cut.

The G-5 provides a new world of electric and acoustic guitar sounds, including instantly accessible alternate tunings and 12-string jangle for all the COSM guitar tones. The G-5 also offers a built-in library of classic modeled pickups, from humbuckers with ultra-wide punch, to Tele-style single coils with ample twang and snap. This VG Stratocaster weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and low action.

The one-piece maple neck has a medium C shaped profile carve with modest shoulder, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .885” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard features a modern 9 1/2” radius, clay dot inlay, and stock medium jumbo fretwire. The frets have their full factory height with well-rounded crowns, showing virtually no wear and playing cleanly in every register. The neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. The guitar conforms to typical Strat specs with a full 25 1/2“ scale length, and a nut measuring 1 5/8“ in width. On the headstock, the original Schaller-made and Fender-branded tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The guitar was at one time fitted with a different tuner set, as evidenced by the extra set of small mounting holes just inset from the current tuners.

On the body, the electronics work as they should, with the trio of ceramic single coil pickups wired to a five-way pickup selector switch, and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The Roland Divided pickup features COSM Mode and Tuning controls, and functions as follows:

Mode knob:

N: Normal (non-modeling mode)
S: Modeled Stratocaster
T: Modeled Telecaster
H: Modeled Humbucking Pickups
A: Modeled Acoustic guitar

Tuning knob:

N: Normal tuning
D: Drop D
G: Open G
d: D Modal
B: Baritone
12: 12-string guitar

The chrome hardware has plenty of shine, the plastic parts are clean as can be, and the white three-ply pickguard retains the factory protective plastic. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint scuffs in the finish along the back body edge, while the neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.

The original gigbag is included.
