Up for sale, a 1990’s Charvel by Jackson Super Dinky SDK-080-SH electric guitar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made at the Chu Shin factory in Japan and sold exclusively to the Japanese domestic market, this SDK model is an elegant, expertly crafted instigator of shred. Featuring a transparent gloss See Through White finish over an ash body with scalloped cutaway, a bolt-on quartersawn rock maple neck, and a thick slab rosewood fingerboard, this quality Charvel offers easy access to the upper frets with a tried and true tonewood compliment. The stock Jackson pickups include a J-100 vintage-flavored alnico V magnet single coil in the neck position and a J-80 humbucker at the bridge, channeling the natural note attack and midrange complexity of the ash body. The guitar offers plenty of ripping high-gain humbucker shred and glassy, bell-like single coil snap. Weighing 7lbs 8oz, this Super Dinky has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, spot-on intonation, and fast action.

The quartersawn rock maple neck has a very slim and fast-feeling C shaped profile carve with good shoulder, measuring .725” deep at the 1st fret and .825" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features mini dot inlay, original pristine jumbo fretwire, and a flat 16” radius. The scale length measures 25 1/2“, and the locking nut is 1 5/8” wide, holding pitch exceptionally well against the most dynamic of dives with the stock Charvel-branded Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo system. On the matching headstock, the original black Jackson-branded Gotoh-made tuners are present and turn smoothly.

On the body, the stock electronics function as intended, with Master Volume and Tone knobs and a three-way pickup selector switch governing the Jackson SH pickup array. The black hardware shows just a touch of surface patina, and the Charvel-branded Floyd Rose licensed tremolo is complete with the original arm. Cosmetic wear is limited to faint scuffing on the treble side of the pick path, finish checking on the bass-side corner of the neck pocket, an isolated chip on the treble side lower bout next to the output jack, and a few minor requisite scuffs and marks on the body as a whole. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.
