Up for sale, a 1990s Roland R-5 Human Rhythm Composer in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box, power supply, and all factory paperwork. Introduced in 1989, the Roland R-5 is the smaller sibling to the classic R-8, featuring 16 velocity and pressure sensitive pads, 68 16-bit internal voices, and the ability to create loops of beats. The pads are assignable to different sounds, with various amplitudes and semitones available within each sample.
Connections include MIDI In, Out, and Thru, as well as 1/4“ Left (Mono), Right, and an additional four assignable outputs for individual processing. A stereo 1/4“ headphone jack is included, as well as RCA Tape In and Out connections.
Cosmetically, the unit is very clean, and the rubberized coating on the enclosure has become slightly tacky in a couple isolated spots, with light wear along the top left corner of the unit and a few small smudges on top.
