Up for sale, a 2013 Schecter Progauge Series PS-ST electric guitar in near mint condition and in perfect working order with a Trans Black gloss finish. This Progauge Series Schecter was made in Japan and is a rare iteration scarcely seen outside its country of origin, featuring the traditional tonewood combination of a solid ash body, maple neck, and slab pau ferro fretboard. The factory-installed trio of Seymour Duncan SSL-1 black bobbin pickups feature alnico V magnets, wound to faithfully replicate a bright, glassy, bell tone with all of the bounce and sparkle one expects from the best '50s Strat pickups. The treble attack is crisp and immediate, while the low end remains articulate and focused, and chords ring out with clear note  separation. This Schecter weighs 8lbs 8oz and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and comfortable action.

The one-piece maple neck has a slender C shaped profile with modest shoulder and gentle taper up the fretboard, measuring .800” deep at the 1st fret and .890” at the 12th. The slab pau ferro fretboard features dot inlay and flawless stock slender fretwire. The truss rod is optimally adjusted, the neck is straight, and the guitar plays easily in every register with a flat 12” fretboard radius. The scale length is 25 1/2", and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock the stock set of gold Schecter Deluxe Kluson-style safety post tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics are untouched and function as intended, with the Seymour Duncan SSL pickup trio wired to the Japan-stamped full-size pots and five-way pickup selector toggle. The gold hardware shines like new, save for a hint of patina on the domes of the knurled knobs, and the gray pearloid pickguard accents the black plastic pickup covers and knobs. The grain of the ash body peeks through the gloss transparent black finish, and cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss, mostly relegated to the back lower bout body edge. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth satin finish.

The original Schecter padded gigbag is included.
