Up for sale, a 1968 Gibson Reverb III vintage solid state reverb unit in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Providing a distinctly different sonic range than the ubiquitous Fender standalone Reverb Units of the same era, the Gibson Reverb III provides plenty of splash and decay, with a slightly more thinned out and aggressive sound. A single knob controls the depth and decay of the effect, and the original two-spring tank is intact. The circuit has been serviced as necessary to ensure optimal performance, with a few new electrolytic caps, and the original pots and carbon comp resistors intact. The original transformers are present, dating to 1968.
Cosmetically, this is a very clean example, with original smooth black tolex, gold/black salt & pepper grillcloth, stock leather handle, and original raised Gibson badge on the enclosure's face. The aluminum chassis shows just at touch of patina, with clean silkscreen graphics and both original knobs intact.
