Up for sale, a 2011 Nathan Anderson Grand Concert "GS" model acoustic guitar in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. A San Diego based luthier who previously restored historic houses and hand crafted furniture, Anderson builds sparingly few instruments and each one showcases his extensive woodworking experience. This particular Grand Concert model pairs solid rosewood back and sides with a Carpathian spruce top. A red spruce most commonly associated with Adirondack, Carpathian spruce originates in Central Europe and has the stiffness and headroom for which Adirondack is known. It's the perfect soundboard for this body size, which utilizes a full 25 1/2" scale and slab ebony fretboard to both really make the top work and also accentuate note attack and treble response. The sound is bright, glassy, clear, and articulate, with enough low end oomph to deliver a full and balanced sound. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and dialed in with 12-53 bronze strings, this Anderson has comfortable action and easy playability.

The mahogany neck has a prominent V profile with good heft and depth, paired with the aforementioned ebony fretboard. The slender fretwire is in great shape, showing only a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-2 and virtually no wear further up the fretboard. The hand carved bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock is fitted with Gotoh open geared tuners reminiscent of vintage Waverlys with butterbean buttons.

The body features an ebony bridge base with a compensated saddle which sits flush on all edges on the Carpathian spruce top. An undersaddle pickup is also installed for when even more volume is required. Subtle accents include an abalone rosette and slender pinstripes of abalone bracketing the top and back body binding. In terms of overall wear, there is one virtually invisible expertly repaired back crack with two tiny button-sized rosewood cleats on the inside, and aside from that, the guitar shows only a few faint scuffs in the gloss finish on the guitar as a whole and is an exceptionally well cared for instrument.

The original hardshell case is included.
