Up for sale, a 2020 Real Life Relics Custom Class 54 bass, pairing an early P Bass style body with a genuine Fender roasted maple neck. A custom built parts bass, Real Life Relics offers quality USA-made components designed to complete your dream build. This bass features an alder body with an uncatalyzed nitro lacquer Surf Green finish, professionally relic’d to taste, paired with a roasted maple Fender Jazz Bass neck, and a Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickup. Strung with flatwounds, the bass has deep natural resonance that translates well through the single coil, offering a balanced, plucky thump that is both articulate and round. This custom-built bass weighs 9lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 50-105 flatwound strings and comfortable action.The roasted maple neck has a slender U-shaped profile at the nut, filling out with more shoulder and roundness as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .820” deep at the 1st fret and .980” at the 12th. The fretboard edges are lightly rolled and feature a subtle relic treatment for a naturally worn-in feel. The maple fretboard features pristine medium jumbo fretwire, playing cleanly in every register up the straight neck with a responsive, ideally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is a full 34”, and the nut measures 1 1/2“ in width. The headstock features a '62-spec Jazz Bass decal, with Fender-branded tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well, showing simulated relic'ing.On the body, the simple electronics work as they should, with Master Volume and Tone controls with full-size pots and a Sprague Orange Drop tone cap governing the Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickup. The large parchment guard is clean as can be, and the control plate, knobs, and custom numbered Real Life Relics neck plate have the same simulated patina seen on the tuners. The body features a nitro lacquer Surf Green finish, relic'd in-house by Real Life Relics.A Fender-branded hardshell case is included.
