Partscaster Superstrat SSH Electric Guitar w/ Warmoth Body, Kahler, Tom Anderson Pickups

Up for sale, a custom-built Superstrat in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Featuring a Warmoth Strat-style alder body, maple neck with a 22 fret fingerboard and medium jumbo fretwire, Tom Anderson pickups,  and a vintage USA-made Kahler tremolo, all of the essential Superstrat ingredients are in place.

The Tom Anderson pickup complement includes a SL2R in the neck position, SL2 in the middle, and H2+ four conductor humbucker at the bridge. The precursors to Tom Anderson's SA pickups, these pickups owe a debt to the Schecter Monstertones, as Tom first worked for Schecter and his first contract job after starting the Tom Anderson brand was wiring pickups for Schecter. As such, the neck and middle position single coils have large diameter magnets and a hum-cancelling design, offering fat and full tones with plenty of authority and cut. The H2+ bridge position humbucker pairs well in terms of perceived output, delivering power and crunch, also tamable to single coil operation via the two-way mini-toggle. The guitar weighs 7lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .865" at the 12th. The profile has a smooth gloss finish, while the fretboard itself is bare maple, featuring flawless medium jumbo fretwire and a 9 1/2" modern radius. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the neck is straight with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod, accessed from the heel. The locking nut measures 1.650" in width, and the S-style headstock features chrome Gotoh tuners that turn smoothly.

The electronics function as intended, with the Tom Anderson pickup trio wired to a single Volume knob and two-way mini toggle to coil tap the humbucker. The body was originally routed for an SSS pickup configuration, cleanly re-routed to accommodate the slanted humbucker at the bridge. The USA-made Kahler tremolo rounds out the hardware, working well for deep dives and sharp trills, complete with a particularly imposing chrome arm. The Dakota Red gloss finish exhibits some pick scuffing across the strum path, with small nicks and light finish scratches on the body as a whole, a bit of localized scuffing on the back lower bout body edge, and a couple tiny finish chips on the edge of the neck pocket. The gloss finish on the neck profile is clean and smooth, with only a couple tiny marks on its length.

A gigbag is included.
