Up for sale, a Mesa Boogie Blue Angel 2x10 in near mint condition and in perfect working order with a custom-ordered finger-jointed flame maple cabinet. A model discontinued almost two decades ago and extremely rare with this cabinet upgrade, the Blue Angel's tube rectified circuit utilizes both a matched pair of 6V6 power tubes and a quad of EL84s to achieve its unique range of tones.A sophisticated and extremely versatile single channel amplifier, the Blue Angel focuses on the lower to medium gain requirements of today's studio and gigging musician, while also paying tribute to the classic designs of yesteryear. With the addition of Mesa’s patented “Progressive Linkage” power design, a variable power tube section is at hand for clippability at its expressive best, in three distinct tonal styles and volume levels no less. Though simple, the preamp is a highly nuanced circuit capable of fine gain increments, and a Bright/Fat switch enhances the characteristics of both single coil and humbucking pickups.The Rear Panel provides a wealth of interfacing needs, with a parallel effects loop and a Mix control to dial in the perfect blend of effects. To use the Blue Angel in larger rack systems, or to interface with other power sections, the Slave jack and Level control are available. Three speaker jack combinations are provided with two 8 ohm, two 4 ohm and one 16 ohm output to ensure a variety of proper impedance matching options, and the Reverb can be engaged via the footswitch jack. The pair of Celestion G10 Vintage 80th Anniversary speakers have pristine frames and original cones, providing a rich, aggressive tone.The heavily figured flame maple cabinet is studio-worthy and incredibly clean, accented by wheat grillcloth, a premium leather handle and a pristine faceplate.A slip cover is included.
