The Columbia is a 6V6/6L6-based, 18/28 watt amp (currently loaded with 6V6s), delivering a tonal palette in-line with Fender's Pre-CBS Black Panel amps. A versatile, reliable, and expertly-built boutique all-tube design, the Columbia Reverb is made in the USA with premium components used throughout.A single channel design, the Columbia Reverb dishes out round, defined cleans that have plenty of sparkle and provide an ideal pedal platform, offering grit and overdrive at higher volumes. The option to run the amp at 4 or 8ohms is a standard feature designed to change the amp's tonal response when in 6L6 mode, delivering cleaner tones with a 4ohm load, and lower headroom with an 8 ohm load providing quicker midrange break-up. Compared to Fender's AB763 circuitry, the Columbia Reverb is engineered to provide a deeper, richer Tremolo effect and a smoother, more atmospheric Reverb. A three-band EQ also provides ample tonal shaping.The amp is loaded with a pair of Ruby 6V6 power tubes, a Tung Sol 5Y3 rectifier, and Ruby and EH valves in the preamp. The speaker is the stock Jupiter 12LC ceramic magnet driver with a pristine green frame.
