This Idiotbox offering is an exacting, straight clone of the iconic Univox Super-Fuzz (as used by countless guitar pioneers including Pete Townshend and J Mascis), delivering the same ripping buzzsaw tone as that legendary pedal. It’s a hairy, no-nonsense fuzz sound; simple, user-friendly controls include Expander (Fuzz), Tone, and Balance (Volume) knobs, and this pedal can dial up a range of tones, from gated, compressed spit to searing monster sustain. The Tone knob, as opposed to the standard two-position Tone switch seen on genuine Super-Fuzz examples, offers additional shading and flexibility. Cosmetically, this pedal is in fantastic shape, with barely a mark on the green enclosure and pristine silver sparkle graphics. The original box is included.
