Up for sale, a Haas Amplification Roadrunner 30 1x12” combo amplifier in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a padded slip cover. Handcrafted in Burlington, Vermont, Haas amplifiers feature top-notch componentry and expert craftsmanship.
A single channel, single input design powered by a quartet of 6V6 power tubes, the Roadrunner 30 is big and bold-sounding, offering ample harmonic complexity, low end cut, midrange richness, and sweet, singing trebles. Controls include Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, Reverb, and Cut knobs, with three-way Bright and Full switches for further tonal flexibility. Cut essentially functions as a Tone knob, darkening the sound when rolled off and offering top end sparkle when dialed up. The Bright switch also dictates treble response, and has a slight boost capability. The Full switch adds a bit of extra lower-midrange oomph and punch, perfect for cutting through any mix on stage or in the studio. The tube-powered spring reverb is subtle and natural-sounding.
The tube complement consists of a matched quartet of JJ 6V6 power tubes, with a JJ GZ34 rectifier and a preamp section of three ECC83s and one Tung-Sol 12AX7. The cabinet is loaded with the stock Scumback H75 12” speaker, which is British-voiced and delivers fat low-mids and creamy trebles in the vein of a G12H30 Pre Rola-era Greenback. The Scumback H series are finely crafted to exacting standards, designed to faithfully recreate vintage speakers down to vintage-correct doping, spider, and voice coil tolerances; with Scumback’s proprietary Factory Break In (FBI) 24-hour process to properly age the cone.
This amp is in fantastic shape, sporting eye-catching offset two-tone blue/white tolex on the face. Cosmetic wear is limited to just a scant few tiny marks on the enclosure as a whole.
A padded faux leather slip cover is included.
