Up for sale, a Guild D-150NAT dreadnought acoustic guitar in exceptional condition, complete with the original hardshell case. Based off the ever popular D-50 Bluegrass Special, this versatile Guild flattop is ideal for open tunings, fingerpicking, DADGAD, and any application where a bold, powerful-sounding square shoulder dreadnought fits the bill. Featuring a solid spruce top with scalloped x-bracing, and solid Indian rosewood back, sides, and slab fretboard, this Guild features sparkling plain strings, with a singing, detailed midrange and focused bass register. The guitar weighs 4lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and comfortable action.
The mahogany neck has a slender, easy-playing C shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders in every register, measuring .815” deep at the 1st fret and .880” at the 9th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a tight-grained cut, featuring pearl dot inlay and pristine stock slender fretwire. The guitar plays easily in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2", and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features a rosewood veneer, pearl Guild inlay, and stock set of nickel Rotomatic-style tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
The rosewood bridge sits flush with the top, and the compensated saddle has ample height for future adjustment. Cosmetic accents include an abalone rosette, multi-ply top binding, and a single-ply black pickguard. Cosmetic wear is limited to a bit of light pick scuffing across the guard and just a few errant marks in the clear coat of the high gloss finish on the body as a whole. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth satin finish.
The original Guild hardshell case is included.
