Up for sale, a Fulltone Fulldrive 3 20th Anniversary Edition in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and user manual. Produced in a limited run to commemorate the 20th year of Fulltone’s much-lauded Full-Drive overdrive, this rare Fulltone offering expands on the Fulldrive platform with several unique features and functions. As with all Fulldrives, this Tube Screamer-flavored overdrive features a dual channel design; the Overdrive channel is voiced for transparency, allowing natural amp tone to come through, and the footswitchable Boost Mode channel can really scream, opening up the distortion with a nice midrange growl and lots of sustain. Unique to this particular Fulldrive 3 is the ability to route the order in which these two channels function to either Boost->OD or OD->Boost, giving the Overdrive channel a lift in distortion with the former and volume with the latter. Other features unique to this pedal include the two-way Clipping switch, which enables the user to toggle between the smooth, mostly symmetrical clipping of a ‘90s Fulldrive 2 and the chiming, Class-A style even harmonic overtones and sweet highs of the modern Wide Asymmetrical configuration. Finally, a Dynamic knob has been added to the Boost side of the Fulldrive 3, which adds Germanium diode limiter circuit that effectively acts like a compressor by subduing any transient spikes and helps this pedal sit very well in any mix. Beyond those added functions, this pedal functions similarly to any Fulldrive, with Master Volume and Tone knobs plus independent Overdrive and Boost controls for each channel. The hand-wired circuit features a JRC4558D IC chip and Di Ya pots that date to the 22nd week of 2013. The bright Orange steel enclosure is robustly built, and this pedal is in great cosmetic shape with barely a mark on the unit. The original knobs are present, and the graphics are pristine. On the baseplate, the serialized foil Fulltone Custom Shop is present, signed by Michael Fuller, dating production to 10/21/2013, and denoting this particular pedal as #199 of 5000. The original box is included, along with the user manual.
