Up for sale, a Fernandes BSV-155 Flying V in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Originally produced for a single year in 1984 and a guitar inseparable from the legacy of '80s Japanese metal and 44 Magnum's guitarist Jimmy (Satoshi Hirose), this BSV-155 is an exceptional reissue, crafted in Japan with an African mahogany body, maple neck, gold hardware, and pair of EMG 81 pickups.

Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the EMG 81 was designed for optimal note detail, enhanced high end cut, and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, yet offered from the factory in both the bridge and neck positions on the BSV-155, the EMG 81 is engineered so that lead work will slice through even the densest mix. This Fernandes weighs 7lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The one-piece maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile with good shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .800” deep at the 1st fret and .875” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a 12" radius and features dot inlay and flawless jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays effortlessly up the straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length measures 24”, and the locking nut is 1 5/8“ in width. The gold Fernandes logo is oriented vertically on the headstock face, and the gold Gotoh tuners work in concert with the locking nut to ensure optimal tuning stability.

On the body, the electronics function as intended, with Master Volume and Tone controls, knurled gold knobs, and a three-way pickup selector toggle. The Fernandes-embossed Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo is designed for deep divebombs and broad, expressive gestures with ideal tuning stability, and the unit comes complete with its original arm. All of the gold hardware is nigh flawless, complimenting the gloss White finish. There are a couple very cleanly repaired splits on either side of the neck pocket between the pocket and neck pickup cavity, and beyond that there is sparingly little wear on the instrument.

The original Fernandes gigbag and factory paperwork is included.
