Up for sale, a Fender + MJT Jazzmaster Partscaster Relic, loaded with Curtis Novak Wide Range humbuckers and complete with a hardshell case. This Jazzmaster comprises a genuine Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster neck paired with an alder body, furnished and finished by MJT in Trans Sherwood Green nitro lacquer.
Features include the pair of boutique Curtis Novak Jazzmaster-sized Wide Range humbucker pickups, a Fender American Vintage vibrato unit, bridge with Mustang-style barrel saddles, Kluson Deluxe single line tuning machines, and a premium wiring harness with all USA-made componentry. The Novak pickups are faithful to the original Seth Lover Wide Range design, using a special alloy to achieve a percussive cut, humbucker muscle and exquisite treble sparkle. Both pickups have coil taps for true single coil operation, engaged with the circuitry on the lower bout (in place of a traditional Rhythm Circuit). This Jazzmaster weighs 8lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and accurate intonation.
The Classic Player Jazzmaster neck has a Modern C profile carve, a medium depth shape with round shoulders, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. The slab Pau Ferro fingerboard has a modern 9.5" radius and flawless medium jumbo fretwire, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale. The synthetic bone nut measures 1.675" in width, and the headstock features genuine Kluson Deluxe single line tuning machines.
The wiring harness features all USA-made componentry with CTS pots, Switchcraft switches and cloth-covered leads. The underside of the parchment pickguard has been fully shielded to ensure an optimal noise floor, and the pickup bobbins are hand-signed and dated by Curtis Novak. Hardware includes a Mustang-style bridge with barrel saddles, working in concert with an American Vintage series Jazzmaster vibrato unit.
The finish is a unique application, subtly transparent to highlight the grain of the alder body, and otherwise in-line with Fender's custom color Sherwood Green Metallic. In addition to shooting the genuine nitro lacquer finish, MJT has lightly relic'd the body, with no discernible playwear beyond MJT's aging.
A molded Fender hardshell case is included.
