Up for sale, an FBass Hammertone OC-12 Standard 12-string ‘mandotar’ in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Named for its city of origin (Hamilton, Ontario, aka ‘The Hammer’), this unique instrument produces shimmering chime, much like a traditional mandolin, but offering the familiarity of a 12 string guitar—simply tuned up an octave.
Weighing 5lbs 10oz, tonewoods include a one-piece ash body, a maple neck, and a slab East Indian rosewood fingerboard, all locally sourced and aged in-house. The Kent Armstrong T-style single-coil pickups deliver plenty of Fender-esque sparkle and detail, with tight percussive lows.
