Up for sale, a circa 2010 Epiphone “Inspired by” John Lennon Revolution Casino model E230TD in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and owner’s manual. One of the more faithful Lennon Casino reissues, this “Inspired by” model features USA-made Gibson P-90 pickups, Grover tuners, and a thin satin finish designed to simulate the stripped finish look and feel of Lennon’s own Casino.

Combining the open, airy sound of the Casino's hollowbody construction with the articulation and treble snap of maple as a tonewood, these qualities translate faithfully through the P-90 pickups. This Casino delivers plenty of glassy, articulate howl and percussive chime, and the Gibson-made P-90s are a notable inclusion on this Lennon Casino, not found on lesser models. This Casino is featherweight at 6lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The headstock has a “USED” stamp, with a new serial number sticker on the original oval label visible through the F hole. The re-serialization was done by the Musical Instrument Reclamation Corporation (MIRC), a company dedicated to refurbishing instruments. The factory flaw that saw the instrument sent to MIRC initially is unknown and now indistinguishable from this instrument's high level of craftsmanship.

Lennon famously stripped the original Sunburst finish from his own Casino, and the smooth satin finish on this “Inspired by” model is a thin application designed to evoke the feel of that iconic instrument. This is a clean example, with barely a mark on the body. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is similarly flawless.

The original Epiphone black tolex hardshell case and owner’s manual are included.
