A true blend of classic and modern, the Ripped Speaker fuzz pedal pays homage to the earliest distorted guitar sounds ever made, emulating the lo-fi distortion early electric guitar players achieved by cutting their speaker cones with razor blades. That’s just with the fuzz turned down, though: when the Ripped Speaker is cranked, it goes fully modern, delivering fully-saturated fuzz tones with an aggressive, searing bite.

Controls include Volume, Fuzz, Tone, and RIP knobs: the RIP knob is a bias control which sets the amount of clipping at the top and bottom of the signal waveform. As such, it enables a notable amount of tonal tailoring, neutral at noon with a hard gating, sputtery effect when turned clockwise and smoother sounds turned counterclockwise.
