Up for sale, a 2020 Echopark Clarence Custom, near mint and 100% original, complete with the original hardshell case and COA. This Clarence Custom model is an utterly unique one-off creation with a semi-hollow pine body finished in Victorian Rose Black, an active Fernandes Sustainer, Wide Range humbucker, and Descendant vibrato and Staytrem bridge.
Weighing 7lbs 10oz, this Clarence Custom combines a semi-hollow pine body with a slender maple neck capped with a bound rosewood fingerboard. The lively and full natural acoustic quality of the instrument translates well through the bridge position Wide Range humbucker, housed in a Jazzmaster-style cover. The bridge pickup is authoritative and detailed, with great percussive cut and sweet growl, while the Sustainer humbucker in the neck position allows the signal to resonate endlessly. Governed by two mini toggles, the first turns the Sustainer function on/off, while the second toggle switches between sustaining the fundamental note or a harmonic overtone. This Echopark weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The maple neck has a very slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut with slight shoulders and a hair more overall heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .755" deep at the 1st fret and .880" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearl block inlay, and the jumbo fretwire is flawless, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock features Gotoh 510 tuners with butterbean buttons.
The electronics include the active Fernandes Sustainer circuitry and a Wide Range humbucker, governed by a three-way pickup selector switch, Master Volume and Tone knobs, and a third smaller dedicated Bass Roll Off knob for the bridge pickup. Hardware includes a StayTrem bridge paired with a Descendant Jazzmaster-style vibrato unit for smooth, dynamic dives and quick flutters. The pickguard is a unique thick one-ply white marbled material, and the Victorian Rose Black silkscreen pattern has Echopark's Vintage Classic Aging, comprising lacquer checking across the body and a few small simulated marks of wear. There is virtually no wear on the instrument beyond the factory aging. The satin finish on the neck profile is pristine.
The original hardshell case and COA is included.
