Up for sale, an EarthQuaker Devices Sea Machine chorus pedal in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box, factory paperwork and swag. Offering “as many modulation possibilities as there are fish in the sea,” this Sea Machine has a bevy of sounds on deck from subtle, shimmering chorus to wobbly, warbly pitch-bent detuning. The flexibility of the Sea Machine is due to a sculptable, variable waveshape LFO, which has dramatic influence over the resultant chorus tone.

Controls include Animate, Dimension, Intensity, Depth, Shape, and Rate knobs. Depth, Rate, and Intensity function as standard chorus controls, and Shape, Animate, and Dimension control the LFO. Animate controls how far the pitch-shifted signal swings; more traditional when rolled off, and absolute wild when dialed up. Dimension adds a reverb-like depth to the signal, and the echo-resonance becomes self-oscillating when cranked all the way up. Shape adjusts the shape of the wave, from triangle to square as you turn clockwise. There is a small flashing LED adjacent to the Rate knob which displays the speed of the oscillation.
