Up for sale, an EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath otherworldly reverb pedal in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and all paperwork and swag. The Afterneath delivers a bevy of ethereal reverb sounds, ranging from vast, washed-out and expansive to ping pong scattered delay-like sounds. The Afterneath is factory set in “tails” mode, but can be set to “tails off” by holding down the footswitch. Controls include Length, Diffuse, Dampen, Reflect, Drag, and Mix knobs, with a Mode mini-knob for cycling through the nine Drag control functions. -Length: controls decay length -Diffuse: controls reverb spread, from an immediate sputter (when rolled off) to ambient and cavernous -Dampen: dictates reverb tone, brighter when rolled off and darker when dialed up -Reflect: dictates regeneration, all the way up to feedback-laden self-oscillation -Drag: controls the density of the reverb, from delay-like immediacy to spaced-out reverb when cranked -Mix: wet/dry control, never going fully wet but instead lower input signal to create the illusion of an all-wet mix that retains direct user inputs The mini Mode knob shuffles through the nine Drag modes, which dramatically affect the overall sound of the pedal. Further Drag control is afforded by the external expression pedal jack.
